St. Hubert, also known as St. Hubertus was a married courtier with a passion for hunting. He was not initially passionate about his faith, but with the death of his wife he left the royal court and immersed himself in hunting. As legend holds, an encounter with a stag with a crucifix between its antlers turned Hubert’s life toward God.
